In the Season 3 premier of IKEA Home Tour, the Squad helps a happily married couple get the most out of their huge master bedroom.
Krista and Mason Peterson recently bought a home to support their growing family. With two children and one on the way, life is already hectic. One of the most attractive features of their new home is the large master bedroom, which they see as a place where they can slow down and stay connected as life gets even busier.
Thanks to the IKEA Home Tour Squad, Krista and Mason’s master bedroom has been transformed into a stylish and functional sanctuary perfect for date nights, watching TV, relaxation, and even working out. For their entertainment area, the Squad chose the FADO table lamp, featuring soft mood lighting, the STOCKHOLM TV unit, featuring a walnut veneer with legs of solid ash and the VITTSJÖ shelving unit, featuring a display-case like design that makes their prized possessions the center of attention.
To give the couple some privacy, the Squad installed the GRÄSLILJA curtains, which lower the general light level and provide a barrier to the outside. The centerpiece of the entertainment area is the comfy EKTORP sectional and ottoman, featuring strong seams and changeable covers and seat backs. The Squad also upgraded Krista and Mason’s bed to a king-sized MYRBACKA memory foam mattress topped with the extra soft HAXORT duvet cover and matching pillowcases. For extra storage space, the Squad chose the functional and stylish BRIMNES headboard, which is adjustable to three different positions.
